Australien bei der BIO in Chicago
29.04.2010 | 18 Aussteller und rund 200 Vertreter von Life Science Firmen und Universitäten werden vom 3. bis 6. Mai in Chicago auf der weltgrößten Biotechnologiemesse vertreten sein.
This year’s 2010 BIO International Convention (BIO 2010), will be held at the McCormick Place convention centre in Chicago Illinois, and is expected to:
Attract over 15,000 delegates from all sectors of the industry and from across the globe; including biotechnology and life-science professionals, business representatives, research and education institutions, and investors.
Draw high-profile visitors including US and international political leaders, US State Governors, corporate leadership, and world-class scientists. Keynote speakers include ex-Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush, as well as ex-Vice President Al Gore.
Focus 65 per cent on healthcare, 25 per cent on industrial food & agriculture, with the remainder general biotech issues including policy and intellectual property.
Australia will have a pavilion at BIO 2010 with 18 exhibitors and a large delegation of life science companies, research institutes and universities in attendance (estimated to be around 220 delegates).
Australia has been amongst the top seven largest international delegations at BIO since 1999.
Australia’s presence at BIO 2010 is being coordinated by the Committee for Marketing Australian Biotechnology (CMAB) which includes AusBiotech, state and territory governments, Austrade and the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR).
